COVID _ 19 Procedures

We are planning for In-Person Classes…

We are experiencing some difficulty getting access to halls in each community. However, we do hope to hold in-person classes. With that in mind, below is a list of protocols we will be following. Should access to a hall or other space not be possible at the start of the term (Week of September 20), on-line classes will replace in-person classes.

Registration will be on-line only. All payments are to be by e-transfer or through “Tap” on-site at the in-person location. (No cash or cheques at this time) Due to having shut down in March, dancers who registered and paid for last years’ classes in the Sault will receive a discount towards this years’ classes. This is being referred to as the COVID Credit. (Primary $110 / Beginner & Junior $125 / Advanced & Senior $155.)

Classes will begin the week of September 20 till June 5 allowing for a 3 week break at Christmas and 2 week break in March. For 33 weeks of lessons. Class times will be posted and your dancers class times will be supplied by email following registration.

Safety precautions will be put in place and will include the following items at the entrance

All classes will be live ON-LINE using Zoom or equivalent for dancers not able to attend due to illness in household. The camera will be set up behind the in-class dancers and will focus on the Instructor, so the dancers feels a part of the class.

Should in-person classes be cancelled, an On-line class will take place at the same time each week.

If we switch to On-Line Classes….

All classes will be live ON-LINE using Zoom or equivalent for dancers not able to attend due to illness in household. The camera will be set up behind the in-class dancers and will focus on the Instructor, so the dancers feels a part of the class.

The class size will be limited to small groups of no more than 6 (likely 4) for stronger personal connection between dancers and instructor

Classes will be held at the same time as in-person classes.

Instructors may shift to allow for smaller on-line classes

Parents

Please try to find an area free of obstructions where your dancer can safely practice and take on-line classes. Foam mats are great to cover concrete floors. And a chair would be helpful for barre work. Mirrors are also a helpful addition to practice areas, but not a requirement
